Im the owner and lead planner of Events With Selina.
I started event planning because I’ve always loved cherishing the memories made through meaningful celebrations. There’s something so beautiful about bringing people together to celebrate life’s special moments. I my business because of my own experience during my wedding. My wedding coordinator didn’t allow me to feel like a guest, and I knew I HAD to create a better experience for others. That’s why my number one goal as a planner is to ensure you feel like a guest at your wedding—fully present and able to enjoy every moment. With our team handling all the details and behind-the-scenes work, you can have peace of mind knowing that everything is taken care of, leaving you free to focus on what truly matters: celebrating your special day.
Outside of event planning,
I’m a wife to an amazing man who has supported my dream of event planning from day one before I even started thinking about making it a real business. He also made me a proud mama to a beautiful one-and-a-half-year-old little girl who is constantly exploring and keeps me on my toes. You can usually find me shopping, cooking, or spending time with my family. Cooking has always been close to my heart, especially because I grew up watching my grandmother in the kitchen and learned so much from her. However don’t ever ask me for a recipe since I don't measure anything and always add more seasonings then something asks for. We live a very busy life, always have something to do or some new project going on, but family means everything to me, and I love hosting any type of gathering just to spend time with the people closest to me.

I'm a proud mom of two beautiful kids who are my world. When I'm not spending time with them, I love expressing my creativity in the kitchen, cooking and baking treats for my family to enjoy. Anything outdoors, from gardening to taking long nature walks, is truly my cup of tea., and I love finding creative ways to style beautiful spaces on a budget. There's something so rewarding about seeing all the little details come together to create a memorable celebration. With my keen attention to detail, I'm always adjusting, arranging, and perfecting every element to make sure it shines. My goal is to handle every small detail so you can relax and be fully present in the moment, enjoying your event as much as your guests. Event planning allows me to bring my skills and passion together. I want every couple and family to experience the joy of their special day without worrying about the logistics. A bit about me—outside of work, I’m an avid reader, nature enthusiast, and proud dog mom to two playful Boxer puppies who keep me on my toes. In my free time, I love exploring the outdoors, whether it’s a weekend camping trip or simply enjoying a quiet hike in the woods. My passion for event planning truly took off when I started organizing my own wedding after getting engaged. Experiencing the process firsthand gave me a deep appreciation for every detail that goes into creating an unforgettable day. I discovered the joy of watching a simple idea transform into something magical, bringing people together in a meaningful way. Since then, I’ve been on a mission to help others realize their own visions, no matter how big or small. What excites me most about this journey is the opportunity to learn from talented teammates and share my own tips, insights, and tricks of the trade. After dedicating 36 wonderful years to my career in Payroll Personnel HR at the Rochester School for the Deaf, I retired to embrace new opportunities to pursue my passions. I’m happily married and a proud mom to two grown children who inspire me every day. In my free time, I love exploring a variety of crafts and tackling DIY projects that let me bring creative ideas to life. One of my proudest moments was having a project I designed—turning an old ladder into a pots and pans rack—featured in This Old House magazine. It was an incredible experience that reinforced my love for innovation and design. Creativity has always been at the heart of everything I do, and it’s a big reason why I’m so passionate about event planning. Being part of a client’s special day is such a privilege, and I love using my talents to help bring their unique vision to life. Whether it’s adding those perfect finishing touches or making sure every detail runs smoothly, I’m committed to making each event as stress-free and joyful as possible. I’ll admit, I’m a bit shy when I first meet people, but once I get comfortable, I love to chat, share laughs, and connect with others. I’m friendly, funny, and I enjoy making others feel welcome and appreciated. When I’m not working, I’m a true homebody at heart. I find joy in keeping my space clean and organized—I even love arranging things by colors and shapes! Baking is another passion of mine, and I enjoy whipping up delicious treats to share. I’m also a big dog lover, but nothing compares to the love I have for my babies. They are my world and the biggest source of my happiness. I come from a large family and even though we’re apart now, it’s taught me an important lesson: family is always with you, no matter where you are. I’ve learned to see my close friends as family too, and that sense of love and connection is something I bring to everything I do. Whether it’s helping someone create their dream event or simply sharing a kind word, I believe in making every moment special. Being part of EWS gives me the opportunity to combine my passion for creativity, organization, and heartfelt connection.
